I love the BBC...
The BBC is wonderful, even if flawed, and this has been proven all the more by its balanced (if occasionally wrong-footed) coverage of the crisis following the Hutton report. I agree that editorial mistakes were made, but having watched the news throughout the Hutton proceedings, I just don't understand how the government could, if the enquiry were completely neutral, be completely cleared.
But then, when has one of these enquiries ever blamed the government? I'm with those who'd put this with the Widgery report...
Has anyone tried google-bombing Hutton as a whitewash yet?
